Melanie Toudouze

About the Artist
After several decades of Texas living, Melanie Toudouze recently moved to Fairhope, Alabama. She was drawn by a desire to be closer to family, the ocean and the Deep South. Her artistic journey has been one of exploration, intuition, and a deep connection to her Southern roots.

Melanie’s work is inspired by the beauty and character of Southern life — from the quiet charm of small towns to the ever-changing coastal light. She often paints from her own photography, transforming everyday moments into vivid, expressive compositions.

Using bright colors and striking imagery, Melanie captures the warmth, rhythm, and authenticity of the South, creating pieces that celebrate both personal memory and regional spirit.  Her work is currently displayed at The Hello Gallery in downtown Fairhope, AL and was previously displayed in The Foley Art Center, Foley, AL.
